The Mission
About the Coach
Yvette Blue
Yvette’s journey in education began early, with a passion ignited in ninth grade when she
tutored students in reading and math at her former elementary school. Her dedication to
fostering student success led her to pursue an undergraduate degree in education. For over
thirteen years, Yvette inspired middle schoolers in both public and private schools, working to
bridge educational gaps in urban and rural communities alike. Driven by a desire to expand
her influence beyond the classroom, Yvette earned two graduate degrees, positioning herself
to take on transformative leadership roles. As an assistant principal, principal, and assistant
superintendent, she spearheaded initiatives that improved student outcomes, developed
teacher capacity, and fostered school-wide excellence. Her forward-thinking leadership
earned her recognition as a finalist for superintendent. While at the State Department of
Education, Yvette’s experiences enabled her to support school leaders and teachers across one
hundred forty-seven school districts by providing support and resources that empowered
school leaders to drive meaningful change for students.
Today, Yvette applies her extensive experience as the founder and CEO of The Acceleration
Coach. Known for her collaborative, inquiry-based coaching style, Yvette builds trusting
relationships that support educators and other community leaders as they provide life-altering
learning experiences and community services. Her guidance helps create environments where
educators, students, and community leaders achieve at their highest levels. As an adjunct
professor, Yvette facilitates growth among graduate-level students as they prepare for the next
level of their careers in education.
Yvette is deeply committed to growth, equity, and innovation, ensuring that every leader she
works with is equipped to positively impact their schools and communities. Celebrated for her
thoughtful approach and results-driven leadership, Yvette continues to shape the future of
education, one leader at a time.

Goal 1:
“I will write well-structured lessons that will
cover all components of a lesson. I will use
the textbook to plan these lessons, and I
will plan two days out to reduce stress. I will
give myself 1-2 weeks to get down
structuring a good lesson. This will help
manage the classroom to help it run
smoother.”
